Meet the Founder
Future Tuition is founded by an experienced educator with a passion for helping young people develop confidence, strengthen their understanding and fulfil their potential.
I am an experienced UK teacher and former Head of Mathematics with more than 15 years of teaching experience, working with pupils across Key Stages 3–5, GCSE, A Level and Core Maths.
Before establishing Future Tuition, I gained experience in both further and secondary education, developing a broad understanding of how young people learn and the different challenges they can face at different stages of their education.
I went on to become Head of Mathematics at an independent grammar school, a position I held for six years. During this time, I led the mathematics department, supported colleagues, developed curriculum and assessment approaches, and worked closely with pupils to raise achievement and develop confidence in mathematics.
My academic background also includes a bachelor’s (BSc) and master’s (MSc) degrees, and ongoing doctoral study at Brunel University of London. My doctoral research explores how the way pupils are grouped in mathematics can contribute to the development of mathematics anxiety. This research has strengthened my interest in not only what pupils learn, but also how they experience learning mathematics.
I believe effective tuition is about more than improving grades. It is about identifying where a pupil is now, understanding what is preventing them from progressing, and providing the right support to help them move forward with greater confidence, independence and understanding.
My aim is simple: to help every pupil become a more confident and capable learner.
